This faith-based event will equip you, the StepMom to be strong and steadfast for your journey. The friendships formed over this intimate weekend will end up being your lifelong tribe of sisters! There is healing and strength in numbers!
Your speakers and experts come from many stepmom walks of life. They have experienced vast amounts of hardships along the way and have incredible stories of hope and healing.

Snacks WILL NOT be provided for the conference. You are allowed to bring your own.
Meals: Lunch provided on Saturday. Breakfast and Dinner on your own. We plan on going to dinner as a group at one of the amazing restaurants in the Domain within walking distance of the hotel.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Space is limited so first come first serve for rooms. Each room has two queen size beds. You can choose how many gals will sleep in each room (up to four).

Who is this event for?
This event is designed just for you, the StepMom - due to the content and sensitivity of matters in the event. Unfortunately, it’s not an atmosphere conducive to having your husband or kids attend. It’s a great opportunity for dad to stay home and have special time with the kiddos. 😊
Where is the event?
This event takes place in the most beautiful setting in the heart of Austin, TX, at the Westin hotel in the Domain! Featured in a park-like setting surrounded by dozens of eateries and entertainment at your fingertips, along with 100 upscale and mainstream retail stores and boutiques - you won’t run out of choices to eat or shop! It’s a beautiful atmosphere for taking a nice, long walk and connecting with your sisters.

What does 2-day registration include?
Nine sessions presented by stepmom leaders that have walked the journey. Panel discussion with husbands. LUNCH on Saturday. Special event planned for Saturday night, Swag bag, a gorgeous hotel with amazing accommodations - the entirety of event will be hosted in heart of Austin, Texas at the beautiful Westin Hotel.

What are the Hotel Amenities?
For those of you that bring your workout gear, (kudos to you!) There is a great workout room in the hotel. There is also a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub for late night swimming and relaxation.
There is a nice restaurant inside hotel as well as a bar and lounge area. There is also a coffee bar that serves Starbucks. There are plenty of sitting and lounge areas throughout offering nice areas to connect and talk.

What if I need a roommate?
Each room has two queen size beds and sleeps up to FOUR people. You have a choice as to how many you would like in your room. Obviously, each person has their own personal preference. Ideally, four to a room is the most cost effective and the most fun! It’s up to you! When registering for a hotel room, you will be asked names of roommates. Only one credit card is required to reserve a room.

Do you offer scholarships?
There are times when there is an anonymous donor or a StepMom wants to bless someone with a ticket. However, this is never a guarantee. Please get in touch with Mary Kay Ponce at: firstname.lastname@example.org. She can inform you if there is something available.
How do I split up room costs at end of conference?
When registering for your room only one credit card is required to HOLD your room ONLY and will not be charged until the end of your stay. The hotel is happy to split the costs of room between friends or you can choose to manage through Apple Pay, Venmo or PayPal.
Can I attend conference and choose to stay elsewhere?
The goal of this retreat is to create an atmosphere of connection, community and intimacy. One of the biggest points of feedback after the last StepMoms ALIVE was that women did not feel like they had the time or space to really get to know and connect with one another. So, I have provided that for you! An amazing venue & conducive environment that will allow women to develop their own community of stepmoms and find connection through new-found friendships that will last a lifetime. This connection will become your lifeline and strength for your journey.
You are more than welcome to stay elsewhere and attend the conference; whether it be a friends house or relative, however, you will missing out on the true source of finding your community and connecting with other stepmoms just like you. We will do all we can to accommodate you and provide you with roommates to make the weekend cost effective.
Please be sure and eat dinner BEFORE the conference starts on Friday evening. Lunch will provided on Saturday. Dinner Saturday night on your own. We plan on going out as a large group for dinner Saturday night somewhere in the Domain.
Breakfast – You are your own for breakfast (Sat. & Sun) however there is a “grab and go” food bar that offers breakfast and snack items. There is a restaurant inside the hotel called “The Urban - An American Grill” that has breakfast, lunch and dinner food service. There is also a coffee bar that serves Starbucks coffee! You are more than welcome to go outside the hotel or bring food to your room and store in the refrigerator that is provided. The hotel also offers 24/7 room service.
Feel free to bring your own snacks for the room or to eat during the day at conference. (There are refrigerators and coffee makers in each room.)
*** Water will be provided during conference (not in water bottles) so feel free to bring your own water bottles. 😊
Are there handicap accommodations?
The hotel can address and meet your needs at time of check in or call early and they’ll be happy to assist you.
Is there shuttle service from the Austin airport to the Westin?
We will be providing a FREE shuttle from and to airport with (2) pickup times/drop off times available both Friday (before conference) and Sunday (post conference).
Friday pickup time: Noon and 3:00 PM (Two pickups)
Sunday drop off times to Austin airport: 1:00PM and 3:00PM (two drop offs)
conference concludes at 11:00 AM on Sunday!

Can I record the speakers/sessions or parts of seminar?
Due to the sensitive nature of content and for the protection of attendees and speakers, we ask that there be NO RECORDINGS; video or audio. There is no live stream of event.
There may be an opportunity to be in individual or group photos for personal or social media use, as well as many photos taken throughout entirety of conference. If you do not wish to be in pictures, it is your responsibility to remove yourself from the photo setting.
What do I wear?
Please come ready to be comfortable. Hotels can be a little cool, so be prepared to layer up. Bring a small blanket if you like. 😊
